Ingredients for Paneer Jalebi:
- cottage cheese - 300 gm
- Sugar - Two cup
- refined oil - Two cup
- green cardamom - 1/2 teaspoon
- strand saffron - 6
- water as per requirement
For Dough:
- baking powder - 1/4 tsp
For Main Dish:
- Milk - 4 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour - 2 tsp
How to prepare Paneer Jalebi:
Step 1) Boil the water into the deep-bottom vessel on high flame & mix in sugar. Keep stirring till sugar dissolves thoroughly. Place it in a pinch of the green cardamom powder & allow the syrup to boil. Stir it for some time & include in saffron. When the syrup is of 1 string consistency, switch off the flame.
Step 2) Next, take a dough kneading plate & drop maida flour into it alongside the baking powder, cottage cheese and cardamom powder. Combine every component & pour sufficient water to knead a smooth dough.
Step 3) Take the little quantity of cottage cheese dough & prepare a long-thick rope kind of structure from it. Wind the dough in a circular motion of around 2 rounds & leave similar space between each round. Repeat the steps until all the dough is done.
Step 4) Now, place a kadai over high flame & heat the oil into it. Once the oil is sufficiently hot, smoothly put these jalebis into kadai & deep fry till becomes golden in the colour. When the jalebi is prepared, soak it in ready cardamom-sugar syrup. Place the syrup vessel beside & close it with the lid.
Step 5) Post a few hrs, put a pan over a moderate flame & heat the syrup with soaked jalebis for two to four mins, and now switch off the flame. Close the vessel with a lid again for thirty minutes & then open it, you would observe the jalebis have become larger in the size.
Step 6) Have the paneer jalebis at room temperature & relish with your beloved ones!
